How TWEAK Open Source Shoe Design Works

YOUR designs could become real shoes! Anyone can contribute to open source shoe design and the best ideas will help create YOUR shoe. This is YOUR chance to submit ideas in the form of comments, photos, or videos. Thousands have already sent their shoe designs to collaborate with TWEAK to come up with innovative footwear products.

The design process usually takes 4 - 6 weeks to create the final shoe and make the shoe available to order. Then the development process takes about 10 weeks to make a custom made shoe for YOU! Most of the shoes you see on TWEAKFootwear.com will ship to you right away and be at your doorstep within 5 - 7 business day of the time you order! Its only our newest pre-order shoes we ask YOU to wait the 10 weeks for them to be made.

Free Shoe Friday (FSF)

A Guide to how YOU can win a Free Pair of TWEAK's
Every Friday we will go through all videos that have been submitted to the TWEAK Design Facebook application, FOR CURRENT PROJECTS ONLY, and choose the best one. Once the video is chosen, we will announce the winner via YouTube. Don't worry, we'll paste the link all over the interwebz so you won't miss the announcement. If you're the lucky winner, email us at customerservice@tweakfootwear.com from there you can choose any TWEAK shoe that is currently available, meaning you won't be able to win a shoe that is currently in the design process, meaning the shoe must be on our website. The following are some helpful steps to get your creative process going.

  1. Upload YOUR shoe design video to YouTube. (This is the only way you will be able to submit a video on the TWEAK Design application)
  2. Go to the TWEAK Design application, here is the link: http://apps.facebook.com/tweakfootwearpro/
  3. Hit the "Join" button, click on the project YOU want to submit a design for from the navigation bar on the left
  4. Embed YOUR YouTube video by entering your YouTube ID and selecting which video you want to submit!
That's it you're done! Dont forget to share your video with all your friends. Please DO NOT post your video on TWEAKs Facebook wall. All videos will be removed immediately, it's not you, it's a dumb Facebook rule. Make sure you are submitting your video for the correct project. For example, if your video is for TimothyDeLaGhetto, don't post the video on the RhettandLink tab.

PROJECT TRACKER

The following shoes are currently a pre-order, it takes approximately 10 weeks from the time we launch a new shoe until the shoe arrives at your doorstep. YOUR shoes have to be custom made and that takes time, so TWEAK created the Project Tracker help YOU see when YOUR shoes will be done. As soon as the shoes have completed production we promise to ship them to you immediately. Once the shoes start shipping you should receive YOUR shoes within 5 - 10 business days!
